My Trip to India
By Jeet P.
I went to India with my family on Nov. 23, 2008. We went to Rajasthan and we stayed in a tent in the desert. I got to ride on a camel and play in the desert sand dunes. The camels are well trained and are able to see in the dark.
Next, we went to tour Mehrangarh fort in Jodhpur. Then, we went to Udaipur. In the middle of the lake, there is a palace. The king and his family still leave in a palace by the lake. We went to a crystal museum. One of the kings ordered the crystal furniture and died when it arrived. The next king thought the furniture was bad luck so he placed the furniture in the museum.
Then, we went to my home state of Gujarat. I got to perform Navchande Yagna. It is a religious ceremony performed for God to forgive us for all of our mistakes. Also, I got to visit our sugar cane farm. I saw the well and how a pump is used to water the farm. I learned a lot, made some new friends, and had the best time ever.
