Legendary actor Shammi Kapoor passed away on Sunday morning. He was 79.
Shammi Kapoor passed away due to chronic renal failure at Breach Candy hospital here.
Expressing grief over the death of veteran actor Shammi Kapoor, legendary playback singer Lata Mangeshkar remembered him as a "cheerful and courageous" person.
He was on dialysis for more than ten years, but never let the world know that he had his ailment.

He was seen as a youth icon by many Bollywood stars. He was fondly called the 'Elvis Presley of India' for his cool dance moves. And those famous dance moves got him a lot of fans from within the film industry.
