Parth Ingle Charged with Killing Dad after Spying

Two of three fingerprints lifted from a handwritten note police suspect outlined a murder plot belonged to the son of a slain Middletown man, according to charging documents filed Wednesday.

Authorities believe Parth Ingle, 25, of East Coventry Township, killed Arunkumar Ingle — a 55-year-old Boeing engineer with a rocky marriage and a girlfriend who testified about his plan to fake his death in India and return to the United States to be with her — in part for financial gain.

arth Ingle, who was sentenced last week to probation and community service for using a computer to spy on his father before the slaying, would not say if he killed his father as troopers led him into the Pennsylvania State Police Media Station following his arrest in the Jan. 21, 2008, homicide.

Charged with first- and third-degree murder, aggravated assault, terroristic threats, possessing instruments of crime, tampering with evidence and conspiracy, Ingle was remanded to the county prison without bail following his preliminary arraignment before Magisterial District Judge Walter Strohl. A preliminary hearing was listed for Jan. 4.

“It’s an ongoing and active investigation,” Lt. Anthony Sivo, Troop K Media Station commander, said at an afternoon press conference announcing the arrest.

Sivo was joined by Delaware County District Attorney G. Michael Green, and a team of state police investigators and county prosecutors. He repeatedly declined to disclose any details beyond the scope of the 25-page affidavit of probable cause for arrest, including identifying any additional suspects, or co-conspirators.

“Nothing changed,” Sivo said of evidence gathered against the defendant during the course of the nearly four-year probe. “Why did it take so long? The investigation required every aspect the Pennsylvania State Police could put forward to bring this person to face the charges.”

Sivo lauded the “relentless work” during the investigation, which included in-depth interviews, as well as DNA and handwriting analysis and computer forensics.

Arunkumar Ingle died of crushing, blunt-force head injuries associated with multiple stab wounds to the head and neck, according to the Delaware County Medical Examiner’s office. It was determined that the elder Ingle was struck several times in the head with a blunt metal object. In addition, his testicles were severely bruised.
