In the Spotlight - Dr. Navin C. Nanda, M.D.
In this issue, we are honored to choose Dr. Navin Nanda as 'in the spotlight' person. Dr. Navin C. Nanda, M.D., FACC, FAHA, FSGC, FISCU(D), FICA, FACA is a nationally and internationally renowned cardiologist and echo cardiographer and recipient of 2006 Ellis Island Medal of Honor.
Dr. Nanda is a Professor of Medicine and Director of Heart Station/Echocardiography Laboratories at University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. Nanda’s clinical and research accomplishments have contributed in a major way to echocardiography becoming today the most useful and cost effective noninvasive technique for the diagnosis of various cardiac diseases, directly resulting in vastly improved patient care in both the United States and other countries.
