Huntsville, AL -- The Indian community in and around Huntsville, Alabama is happy to announce that the INDIA FESTIVAL AT MADISON 2013 will be held on August 10th from 10 am to 8 pm in Madison, Alabama

This whole day festival is being hosted at the campus of the Bob Jones High School in Madison. The festival will bring together talents of individuals and groups of Indian origin to demonstrate in a festive atmosphere India’s cultural diversity and heritage. The event will highlight music, dance, cuisine, arts, crafts, yoga, meditation etc. and provide a forum for the local community to learn more about the people from India who have made the United States their home and contributed to the growth and prosperity of this nation.
This signature event was last conducted in Huntsville four years back in 2009 and was attended by close to 5000 visitors. The organizers expect this year’s event to bring in a similar number of visitors from all over North Alabama.  There will be continuous stage performances throughout the day, fashion shows, several exhibits of Indian interest, delicious food from all over India, Henna painting, yoga & mediation, live arts, pictures with Indian attire and background, commercial booths etc. and end with a grand musical finale.  The Executive Committee for the festival promises a fun filled and exciting day and heartily invites all to participate in the festival.
